Jazz In The Round is at the forefront of new music, offering a platform for emerging artists alongside established names.
Its flagship in-the-round night takes place monthly at The Cockpit in London’s Marylebone and has become one of the most respected nights in the Capital’s jazz calendar. Each event features three sets: an Emergence slot for new talent, a solo performance exploring new directions, and a headline set from leading artists in the scene.
Beyond its monthly programme, Jazz In The Round also curates pop-up events, festival stages, and shows for the EFG London Jazz Festival, maintaining a strong commitment to grassroots development and artist support. It is a Cockpit Production and a proud partner of One Jazz.

Sam Glaser Quintet @samglasermusic
Sam Glaser is an alto saxophonist, composer and bandleader based in London, UK. He is a virtuosic improviser and a unique voice on the UK jazz scene, and his warm and distinctive saxophone sound, paired with lyrical, energetic, and emotive playing, have led to renown amongst musicians and listeners alike. Sam’s saxophone playing is firmly grounded in the history of jazz music but takes great inspiration from modern masters including Will Vinson, Chris Potter, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Ben Wendel. Sam graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2016 with a 1st class honours degree in jazz saxophone, where he studied with some of the UK’s leading jazz musicians including Julian Siegel, Iain Ballamy, Nikki Iles, James Allsopp, Gareth Lockrane, and Tom Cawley. He was also a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra between 2013 and 2018, where he held the principle alto chair for two years and during which time performed with artists including Gregory Porter, Clare Teal, Zoe Rahman, and Jason Yarde. He was also a featured soloist on the studio album “NYJO 50”, released on Whirlwind Records in 2015. Highly sought after, Sam has performed with leading musicians and bands including the Tom Smith big band, Patchwork Jazz Orchestra, the Gareth Lockrane Big Bang, Adam Woodcock’s Meridian, and the Tom Niblock big band. He was a featured soloist on Stan Sulzmann’s “Mon Ami”, released in 2021, and recorded for Slowly Rolling Camera on their record “Juniper”, released on Edition Records in 2018.

Whether performing as a soloist, Sound Brush, or leading her adventurous ensemble RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, Keeffe carves out bold, expressive spaces for sonic exploration and individual freedom. Inspired by abstract painters, she refers to her trumpets and flugelhorn as Sound Brushes, approaching each performance as a dynamic canvas for spontaneous creation. Jazzwise Magazine praises her work as “avant-garde for all,” and critic Kevin Le Gendre notes she “shows notable strength of character as she runs the sonic and emotional gamut.” Keeffe’s debut album, Right Here, Right Now (Discus Music, 2021), marked her emergence as a distinctive voice in the UK and international avant-garde scenes. Her 2023 follow-up, ALIVE! in the studio, captures the visceral immediacy of RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW – featuring Ashley John Long (double bass), Ben Handysides (drums), and Moss Freed (guitar) – recorded live at Goldsmiths University Studios. The album was featured in several Best of 2023 lists, including Reader’s Digest. Keeffe’s music has been widely broadcast across BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 6 Music, and Jazz FM, with presenters such as Corey Mwamba, Stuart Maconie, and Jez Nelson describing her as “prolific,” “dynamic,” and “an excellent improviser!” A passionate advocate for music as a force for social change, Charlotte served as Assistant Musical Director of the London Gay Big Band, and co-leads its All-Women Septet alongside her fiancée, vocalist Lara de Belder. From intimate solo sets in abstract spaces and bustling cityscapes, to high-profile stages at Glastonbury and Wilderness Festival alongside Charlotte Church, Laura Mvula, and Kate Nash, Keeffe is a fearless creative spirit. Even during lockdown, she live-streamed concerts from her bathroom – a testament to her dedication to making Music wherever, however, and with total authenticity. Sylvie Noble [EMERGENCE] @sylviemnoble
Based in London, jazz vocalist and composer Sylvie Noble pulls from eclectic influences across the musical spectrum, combining jazz and folk to create an entirely unique sound. A finalist of the 2025 Tina May Young Jazz Musician competition and anchored by a love for improvisation, her sound is steeped in sensitive honesty, technical virtuosity, and captivating storytelling. Her most recent project, Sylvie + Ursula, is a duo collaboration with double bassist Ursula Harrison, winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award 2024. Sylvie is a member of the London Vocal Project, one of the UK’s leading contemporary vocal ensembles, and has performed and toured with musicians such as Ant Law and Tom Ollendorff, in settings from Pizza Express Live to Brecon, Sligo and Limerick Jazz Festivals. She toured the UK with The Mingus Project in 2024, with whom she released a live album. As a performer and arranger, Sylvie was commissioned by the Wales Millennium Centre to reimagine the repertoire of the iconic Welsh post-punk band Young Marble Giants within a jazz context, through innovative and experimental arrangements. A budding writer, Sylvie has written for UK Jazz News, interviewing Belgian vocalist Lynn Cassiers for a preview written on behalf of the Royal Academy of Music. Sylvie teaches at various jazz summer-schools, such as Sligo Jazz and the Original UK Jazz summer-school, and is pursuing a Postgraduate degree in jazz studies at the Royal Academy of Music, after graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music with a first-class BMus degree in jazz voice.
