Rob Cope


Rob Cope is a freelance musician and broadcaster whose career spans performance, recording, and presenting. Raised in Manchester, Rob began his musical journey at Chetham’s School and the Royal Northern College of Music, before moving to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music.

As a freelance performer, Rob has established himself as a versatile and sought-after musician, appearing regularly with esteemed orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and the Hallé Orchestra. His artistry extends beyond orchestral work, as evidenced by the release of three solo albums under his own name, each showcasing his unique voice and artistic vision.

Rob is also a passionate and dedicated broadcaster. For over a decade, he has hosted The Jazz Podcast, curating and producing over 300 episodes during his tenure. His contributions to the music industry were recently recognized when he was awarded an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM), a prestigious honour that celebrates his impact and dedication to the field.
