We LOVE Ferg. His Imaginary Big Band is a joy to behold. An antidote to the bullshit and greyness that sometimes overwhelms us all. His One Jazz radio show is full of surprise and joy. A bit like Ferg’s pink suit. A studied musician with a flair for composition and a dislike of stiff jazz clichés. Ferg does it his way and his way is good.
Recorded and Mixed in one mammoth 10am to midnight session in August 2025 ‘¡Let’s Break Things!’ is Ferg’s new small group project. Impulsively recorded and released between Big Band projects the record contains 5 new compositions bristling with punk aesthetic and featuring a brand new ensemble featuring some of Fergus’s favourite collaborators.
