London’s Cockpit Theatre presents a five day run of Jazz In The Round events featuring big names, new talent, proper nights out – and the spirit of the Year of the Fire Horse! All five nights lean in to what we do best – long form, durational musical journeys that immerse and transport.

Night one: Jazz In The Round Monday 30 March 8pm – International jazz supergroup lvdf and more to be announced. Our regular monthly night of three acts. An emerging act, a soloist and a headliner.
Night two: Tuesday 31 March 8pm – Urvashi
Night three: Wednesday 1 April 8pm – Orphy Robinson MBE (new band)
Night four: Thursday 2nd April 8pm – Free jazz royalty Thomas Edwards Noble
Night five: Friday 3 April 7:30pm – Jemima Whyte, Zola Marcelle + Knobil. A programme of new and emerging artists.
Jazz In The Round is at the forefront of new sounds, offering a performance platform for emerging artists and programming them alongside top-shelf headliners.
Jazz In The Round’s flagship in-the-round night is held once a month at The Cockpit in Marylebone, and has become one of the most revered nights in the London Jazz calendar. Each session consists of three sets: An ‘Emergence’ slot for new and emerging acts, a solo slot – often an artist breaking away from a group to explore something new, and a headline slot playing host to a roster of jazz’s finest musicians.
In addition, Jazz In The Round programs on-your-feet ‘Emergence’ gigs, one-off nights in pubs, stages at festivals, and shows for the EFG London Jazz Festival, maintaining an ethos for grassroots platforming, and supporting artists at the start of their career.
