Panamanian salsa and Latin music giant Rubén Blades returns to London on 8 July 2026 for a landmark performance at Roundhouse Camden, delivering a night of Latin pop, salsa, and rock at one of the city’s most iconic venues.
A legendary singer, songwriter, and cultural voice, Blades brings decades of storytelling and social commentary to the stage, shaped by rhythm, energy, and political edge. His music blends Afro-Cuban traditions, jazz-infused salsa, and globally influenced grooves—simultaneously danceable and deeply conscious. A prolific collaborator across genres, he has worked in jazz, pop, hip-hop, reggaetón, and salsa, earning 12 Grammy Awards and 13 Latin Grammy Awards from Latin Recording Academy. His album Salsa Big Band (2017) won Latin Grammy Album of the Year, and in 2021 he was named Person of the Year by the same organisation.
Beyond music, Blades has built a major acting career, appearing in Fear the Walking Dead, Hands of Stone, and Safe House, as well as films directed by Robert Redford, Spike Lee, and Robert Rodriguez. He is also a scholar and former Panamanian presidential candidate, with a legacy that extends far beyond music.
