One Jazz has been nominated for the Jazz Media Award at the 2026 Parliamentary Jazz Awards — the second year in a row that the station has been shortlisted for the honour.

The nominations for the 2026 Parliamentary Jazz Awards have been announced by the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Group (APPJG), recognising the breadth, diversity and talent of the UK jazz community.

Now in their 21st year, the Parliamentary Jazz Awards celebrate the musicians, venues, educators, promoters, media, organisations and other individuals who help jazz thrive across the UK. The awards are supported by the Musicians’ Union, the Royal Society of Musicians and UK Music.

One Jazz is nominated alongside UK Jazz News and Richard Williams of The Blue Moment in the Jazz Media Award category.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 13 October 2026 at World Heart Beat in London, with the awards decided by members of the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Group following an initial public nomination process and shortlist selection by a panel drawn from across the jazz community.

Dame Chi Onwurah MP, Chair of the APPJG, said “the awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the musicians, educators, promoters, record labels, organisations, blogs, magazines and journalists who help keep jazz flourishing, adding that the 2026 shortlists demonstrate the “wealth of talent and commitment” within British jazz.”

A new award this year will also recognise the work of Music Hubs and Schools Music Services, highlighting their important role in developing the next generation of musical talent.

The Parliamentary Jazz Awards are an important annual recognition of the people and organisations working at every level of the UK jazz scene — and we’re delighted that One Jazz has once again been recognised among them.
