A dystopian jazz suite where each tune delves into a hypnotic and mesmerising sound world, City Swamp showcases the collective improvisation and expressive experimentation of some of the UK’s finest instrumentalists including Amané Suganami, Nubya Garcia, Tamar Osborn, Shirley Tetteh, Twm Dylan and more. Drawing on electric-era Miles Davis, the album announces the Maisha founder as an artist in his own right, breaking new ground on what is a heady and conceptually adventurous debut.
