On The Corner returns to The Mildmay Club on 19 November, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, with more inspiring young talent.
The Kassa GJ Quartet is a rising London-based jazz outfit led by the acclaimed 17-year-old alto saxophonist and composer Kassa Green-Jakcsi.
Kassa is a talented 17-year-old alto saxophonist from London, currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music. Born and raised in Hackney, he started learning piano before discovering his love for the saxophone at 8 years old.
Mentored by UK jazz stalwarts through the Tomorrow’s Warriors program, the band is known for performing powerful original compositions and modern interpretations of classic jazz standards and have performed at the Barbican, the Southbank Centre, as well as Love Supreme, We Out Here and Brick Lane Jazz festivals.
