Kyri has been running his label R2 Records since 1999, in that time releasing music from some of the biggest names in dance music including Osunlade, Karizma, Louie Vega, Ron Trent, Atjazz and Floating Points.
His DJ career began in 1990 with a chance meeting with Chris Philips, then a presenter on the newly formed Jazz FM. Helping out on Chris’ show, and that of fellow presenter Jez Nelson, Kyri then played his first gigs for Somethin’ Else with parties at the seminal Red Eye and newly opened Jazz Cafe.
Since then Kyri has been a regular on the London and international club scene flexing his diverse tastes from Jazz to Techno via Soul, Funk, House, Afro, Latin and Electronic sounds – always with a soulful slant.
Life comes full-circle as he re-connects with Chris and Jez to host a show on their station One Jazz.
